HOW TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE TUTOR?

GUIDELINES TO BE FOLLOWED

Sometimes it can be INTIMIDATING while pulling off thoughts and explaining to Tutor in 30 minutes appointment.

My word of advice is to follow STAR method

  • Situation: Set the scene & give the necessary details of your example.
  • Task: Describe what your responsibility was in that situation.
  • Action: Explain exactly what steps you took to address it.
  • Result: Share what outcomes your actions achieved.

Guidelines A

ALL THE APPOINTMENTS ARE FIXED ONLINE ON ZOOM (web-based video conferencing). Therefore please have a stable internet connection and ZOOM application on your device.  Additionally, ensure your device is charged.  Please test run your Zoom application and be familiar with it so we don't waste time on establishing the connection.

“By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” Some good practices to adopt before and during our conversation: While booking your appointment, you’ll find an option to upload documents or text paragraph that you might want us to see. This would help us understand the topic of interest better and provide a meaningful discussion.

If you are unable to connect through Zoom Call we can arrange a meet over WhatsApp, Skype, or Google Meet with prior notice.  There are  4 services which are being offered. 1) Queries on Membership from Institute of Charted Shipbrokers  2) Queries in Chartering 101 Series 3) Queries on Career Progression 4) Miscellaneous Queries Please go through services below to know more about them.

Once you have booked your appointment slot you CAN NOT reschedule or ask for a refund on your cancelled appointment. If you are in a different time zone and would like to get a special appointment slot with the Tutor, you may email us on contact@shipscope.org and put up a special request in advance. You can apply for more appointment time slots depending on the availability.

STEP-BY-STEP BOOKING WIZARD

 

“The below step by step booking tells you everything you need to know while booking an appointment.”

 

Step 1

First, Choose the type of “service”. Depending on the chosen service you will get additional information on what that service provides.

Step 2

Second, on the calendar choose a specific day from the available dates. Once selected, you can go on selecting the preferred time slot. Click continue.

Step 3

You will see the third step of the booking wizard. Here you can enter your personal info (Name, Email and Phone) and confirm that the appointment data is correct. Once you fill in all the details you will be directed towards PAYMENT.

Step 4

The fourth step is to PAY TO CONFIRM YOUR APPOINTMENT. Please pay to confirm your appointment.

Step 5

The fifth step of the “Booking Wizard” is an option for candidates to add their appointment to the calendar. There are four options to choose here: “Google Calendar”, “Yahoo Calendar”, “iCal Calendar” and “Outlook Calendar”.

Step 6

HURRAH YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT. You will get a confirmation email of you details and ZOOM link. If you do not receive any notification from us *Please* Check Your Spam Filter or Junk Mail Folder for email from noreply@shipscope.org. Please be ready on your appointment date and time as we look forward to having a conversation with you.
